The Import Control System RFC29 upgrade is scheduled for implementation to the live system on the 1 October 2017.
This Customs Information Paper tells all ICS users about:
- the changes that will affect all those making declarations (if any)
- the downtime required (if any), and where more detailed information can be found if needed
2. Technical specification
The new technical specifications will be available from October 2017. This will give details of the changes needed to ICS software to align with the RFC29 upgrade. The schemas and WSDL files have been updated where required.
The trader test pack is also available and remains unchanged.
The RFC29 upgrade software is available for testing on the Third Party Test and Validation System (TVPS).
3. ICS changes
There are no trader impacting changes in the RFC29 upgrade.
4. ICS live downtime – RFC29
ICS doesn’t need any downtime for the RFC29 upgrade.
